We ordered 3 different drinks, they were all delicious. Loved how the coffee shop is located in the hotel lobby. You get to immerse in the travel atmosphere and reminds me of the hotels back home in the Nevada desert.

Rin & Rheanna were the absolute best hosts/baristas. It was my first time at BLK MGK. I absolutely loved how they customized my drink to my liking. The best Tropical Mimosa EVER!! This is a great spot to have coffee meetings or dates!

Amazing coffee! Better food! And the sweetest of staff! “Rin” recommended menu items, customized my order, and called me by name when delivering my sourdough breakfast sandwich that was utterly divine. She & Rheanna make a great, personable, and comedic team of baristas! It’s nice seeing people that like people and enjoy their job!

The Mining Exchange hotel has a huge and comfortably decorated lobby. As such, the in-house bar (Golden Hour) and coffee shop (BLK MGK) has built-in seating in an organic fashion that encourages their patronage. You don't have to be staying at the MX to go to BLK MGK -- it's perfectly acceptable to drop in off the street, and the place does have external signage to make that clear. FOOD: We each had a drink and a breakfast nibble. My hot chai was not too sweet and nicely spicy. My wife enjoyed her cold brew drink. The food was also good -- my wife's yogurt parfait was very enjoyable, and my quite large breakfast burrito was surprisingly good. I'm not sure how they manage to make things feel like fresh-made (certainly better than Starbucks zapping something), but they did a fine job at it. SERVICE: The barista was friendly and patient, and found us at the far end of the lobby to serve our food when ready. AMBIANCE: The MX lobby is both huge and stylish and comfortable, and whether your tastes run to bottomless comfy chairs or seats around a table you can find it. All a nice place to eat and drink. NET-NET: Worth visiting (by foot) even if you are not staying at the MX. I'd definitely go back again.

Interesting concept; the hotel has a huge lobby, so they leased out part of it to a coffee shop. Lots of room, but the vibe is totally “hotel lobby” and not coffee shop. Sofas, coffee tables, etc. nice and clean, lots of room and large tables. A few tables if you’re one of those people who work on laptops. Not for those who like smaller, more intimate coffee shops. My only negative is the coffee. I asked if they had a light roast, but the barista said they only have a medium roast, so I ordered a cappuccino, but it wasn’t very good. Very french roast taste, and bitter, like $tarbux. I hope they find better coffee, less dark roasted, at least for those of us who don’t like drinking charcoal. I also didn’t like being served a hot coffee in a glass? Don’t they have coffee mugs? I put food at 3/5 stars, as the croissant was basic, the coffee bitter. Atmosphere 3/5 because of what I wrote above. When I was there it was a bit noisy, lots of people Bathrooms are lobby bathrooms, a bit of a walk but large, clean and spacious. They have a small table with coffee things (sugar, napkins, water and cups).
