Some coffee shops announce themselves the moment you walk in. Dandy Lion does it quietly — a nondescript exterior on 38th Ave in Park Hill that gives way, once you’re through the door, to something genuinely unexpected: hanging swing seats, walls of living plants, morning light filtering through greenery, and the smell of something floral already in the air. Owners Duc Huynh and his wife Dominique moved the concept to Park Hill in 2021 , and what they built here is hard to categorize in the best way. It’s a craft coffee shop and boutique plant store in one — and somehow both sides of that equation feel equally intentional rather than one being an afterthought. The menu leans into lavender lattes, Vietnamese iced coffee, and chai, alongside croissants and breakfast burritos — a lineup that reflects the shop’s AAPI-owned roots and a clear point of view on what coffee can be. The Vietnamese iced coffee in particular earns its reputation: rich, layered, and grounding in a way that a standard cold brew just isn’t. The lavender latte is a regular on people’s standing orders for good reason. The seating situation is worth noting — swing chairs and limited spots mean arriving early on weekends pays off. Street parking is the move. Best for solo mornings, slow catch-ups with a friend, or anyone who wants to leave with a new plant and a drink they’ll be thinking about on the drive home. Dandy Dion Coffee is a gem in Denver! The customer service here is absolutely excellent—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I ordered their drip coffee, which comes with a free refill, and it was strong yet delicious, giving me the perfect boost of energy to tackle my day. The shop itself is clean and well-maintained, with an inviting atmosphere. They also sell some really cool plants, which add a unique touch and make it feel cozy. The swing seats are really fun to sit on! Just a heads-up, parking is on the street, so it’s not assigned to the business, but it’s worth the small walk if needed. I’ll definitely be back for more great coffee and vibes!

I was having the worst day at work and had to step out for coffee so I didn't kill my coworkers. Im so glad I stepped into Dandy Lion. Immediate mood boost, the plants, the music, the smells, it was all fantastic. Both of the baristas were sweet, charming, and personable. Corey helped me decide what drink to get while I was being indecisive. She was funny and helpful. I didn't catch the taller curly haired girl's name but she also had great energy. The pastries were so tasty too, I got a pistachio cold brew that was great. I will be back and tell all my friends.

This coffee shop is such a wonderful little space!! Often after church me and my family go, and it’s always such a great experience. One thing I especially love about it is the amazing and so friendly service. It’s a small space, but it has beautiful tables, plants, and even swings!! Would 100% recommend!!
