Some friends had just wrapped up a full tour of our nation’s capital and we were trying to find a good place to meet up and reconnect. My only requirement was simple: pick somewhere with a jolt of caffeine strong enough to revive a group of people who had spent the day walking Washington, DC. They picked Warka, and that turned out to be an excellent decision. My Americano was absolutely on point. Smooth, bold, and exactly the kind of cup that reminds you why coffee exists in the first place. Meanwhile outside the wind was doing its best impression of a small hurricane, knocking over umbrellas and generally making it clear that outdoor seating was not the place to be. Inside though? Nice and warm, comfortable, and perfect for catching up. We spent a good while talking, laughing, and enjoying some great fellowship. The pastry case looked incredible as well. I personally resisted the temptation this time, but judging by the number of people happily demolishing croissants and pastries around us, they clearly know what they are doing in the baking department too. Great coffee, cozy atmosphere, and a perfect place to sit down and reconnect with friends. Highly recommend if you are looking for a solid cup and a welcoming spot to enjoy it.

Everything at Warka worked quickly and efficiently it didn't take long for the line to move and get all orders taken. I ordered a Moroccan Latte 🇲🇦 and the Ethiopian Flight 🇪🇹. First the Latte was delicious! Such a unique taste similar to a Yemeni Latte. The Ethiopian Flight was pure perfection i think the Cortada stole the show for me. I highly recommend both the Latte and the Flight, they also have a Signature Flight with different Lattes you can try. Lastly I had a coffee cake muffin trust me its a great addition to whatever your drinking. As a side note my father had the Avocado Toast and he loved it! Can't wait to come back.

Amazing cafe to kickstart your day! They had a wide variety of croissants, healthy breakfast choices and creative coffee options. The seating inside and outside is perfect for small group sizes (up to 5 or 6). The close proximity to various DC attractions is a plus.

Cute shop with creative lattes. Moroccan latte was especially good. It’s a little cozy with about 15 spaces to sit between couches and counters. The self ordering kiosk makes things easier for takeout drinks when ordering to-go.

After several disappointing coffee stops during my trip to DC, Warka Coffee was a standout. Not only was it the best coffee I had on the trip, it was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had anywhere. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.
