Wowowow this place is so good! The Vietnamese coffee, the banana pudding latte (coffee) was SO good. Amazing quality and flavors. The egg sandos are incredible too! The egg and avocado was so tasty!!! Def must try! Venture out of wakiki for coffee & matcha.

This place is SO cute and the food and drinks are delicious! I ordered an iced americano and a chia pudding, and I was impressed! The pudding was exactly what I wanted - loaded with fruit, not too sweet, made with almond milk so it was non-dairy, and it had a layer of homemade strawberry filling on the bottom that was SO tasty! It was very filling and healthy, with just the right amount of agave syrup for sweetness. They put the granola on the side to accommodate my gluten-free needs. All the food being served to other customers was so beautifully presented. I love this place!

I got the strawberry matcha latte & my sister got the banana pudding matcha latte. They were both really good! I liked how I could still taste the matcha even though it had other flavors. Their prosciutto bagel was amazing as well. Really cute interior design & service was so knowledgeable & friendly!

This is by far the my favorite and best cafe in Hawaii! This little shop is on Kapahulu and they have a small parking lot in the back, if not there are also street parking along. I love that they have a variety of different drinks compared to your usual cafe drinks. My favorite is the Fresh Strawberry Sparkling drink, it is so refreshing every single time I get it! They also expanded their food menu as well. Today I tried one of their new item, the Strawberry Matcha Chia Seed Pudding. I will say that the owners know what they are doing! It’s was so good and I didn’t feel guilty after eating. Just knowing that their items are more health conscious makes me feel good about it. My favorite item is definitely their bubble waffle. It reminds me so much of Hong Kong where my family is from. So being able to have bubble waffle that tastes almost as if I just got them off the streets of Hong Kong really says a lot. There were a lot of places that had tried to make the bubbles waffles here on island and none were good enough to make a lasting impression. But the one at Walking Bean Cafe is one that I cannot forget. From the first bite I already know that I will be frequently coming here to get my bubble waffle fix! If you know what’s up, then you gotta come and try it yourself. I have high standards for my bubble waffle because none before would remind me of Hong Kong until it happened here at the Walking Bean Cafe!!

Walking Bean Cafe is such a cute hidden gem if you're into unique drinks and cozy vibes. They had two people working - one making drinks and the other in the back kitchen making food. I tried the Ube Mochi Matcha, and it did not disappoint--perfectly balanced with earthy matcha and a subtle sweetness from the ube. The mochi pieces added a fun, chewy texture that made it feel a little more special than your usual latte. The atmosphere is relaxed and aesthetic, great for a quick coffee stop or to sit and unwind. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Honolulu and want something a bit different from your usual order.
