Yes it is everything people say it is, gooooooood! We stoppes by here during the weekday and grabbed some beignets which are coated with powdered sugar and delicious. We did try other beignets spots around the area but in my opinion Cafe Du Monde is No. 1. We did pass by here on a Saturday and there is a huge line so I would definitely recommend going on a weekday is possible. This established is a cash only spot so have some cash on had if you don't they alsp have ATM's available close by. We ate at at the actual venue but you can also take it to go. For example there is a separate area where you can order if you do not wish to sit and eat at the Cafe. We did grab some beignets to-go on our second visit and went to the nearby Jackson's Square to sit and enjoy the scenery, best beignets in town!

A NOLA classic so we had to stop by. You take a seat and the servers will come to you. Finding a seat was surprisingly easy and the service was pretty quick! They are a cash only establishment, and have an ATM on-site. The beignets are deliciously fried clouds of dough blanketed with powdered sugar. Their hot chocolate has a rich chocolate flavor and overall it was a delicious breakfast and great way to start my day.

I finally made it to Café Du Monde to see if the legends were true. Going in, I didn’t really know what to expect—it’s one of those places you hear so much about that the reality is bound to be a bit of a surprise. The Experience The atmosphere is exactly what people describe: bustling, chaotic, and timeless. There’s a certain energy to the place that you just can’t replicate anywhere else. You truly have to experience it in person to understand the vibe. The Food & Drink: The Beignets: These were excellent. They come out hot, fresh, and buried under a literal mountain of powdered sugar. They lived up to the hype—pillowy and satisfying. The Café Au Lait: This was a solid cup of coffee. The most interesting part was the steamed milk; the texture and the way it blended with the chicory coffee felt a bit "odd" at first if you're used to standard lattes, but it was ultimately very good and unique to the house style. Verdict: It was a great experience. If you’re in the area, it’s a mandatory stop. You can't quite grasp the combination of the atmosphere, the sugar-covered tables, and that specific coffee flavor until you're sitting there yourself. Definitely give it a try.

Depends on the time of day… But this place is mostly crowded, especially during Mardi Gras. Tried “Beignets” for the first time and they were great! Crispy outside, soft inside. Warning “Try not to inhale while taking a bite” :P. Their coffee is strong and pairs well with the Beignets. They are a cash only business.
