One of my new favorites in KC! This charming little spot is serving some of the fluffiest biscuits I’ve ever had. Don’t miss the cultured butter or the strawberry basil jam. Plus great coffee! Will definitely be back to try the biscuit sandwich, which was sold out by the time we got there… clearly a hit!

My husband and I visited Take Care while in Kansas City for the weekend. We loved it! We’ve been on a few trips south recently and we’ve had a couple very good biscuit experiences, so Take Care had a lot to live up to, but it exceeded our expectations. The biscuits (both the sandwich & biscuit with jam) were perfect — warm, flaky, and buttery. Highly recommend the strawberry basil jam!

The atmosphere is chic, and old antique vibes. Lots of natural light, and beautiful old wood floors. This was my husband and I first time coming here. I was excited to try it out. We waited in line to order. Several bristas none acknowledged us when we got up to the counter to order. Very awkward encounter stood there waiting for the Brista to say something....she just stared at me. Not saying a single word....I started to order since I wasn't sure why she was just staring at me.....after her continuing to just stare at me. I asked am I supposed to order on this iPad infront of me? Thinking maybe they don't order that way and that's why she's staring like this. She finally says something and says "sorry, what can I get you?" It wasn't in a friendly way, no smiles nothing. Honestly for my first time at a coffee shop. I didn't feel very welcomed. The coffee itself was very good, i got the carrot cake latte and their homemade biscuits were buttery and delicious. Overall I don't get the best vibe from the bristas so not sure if I'll be back.

This coffee shop is incredible, and I’m a huge coffee snob so that means a lot. All of the employees are delightful and have such great energy. The coffee is fantastic, and they make their syrups in house! A half sweet vanilla latte from here genuinely can’t be beat. I love it here!!!

This coffee shop in downtown is so wholesome! Really nice homey vibe inside. It was super busy but everyone working was so nice and patient. The biscuits are definitely a big deal here, they are so good and buttery.
