As you can see from my photos, I have come to this coffeeshop every single day since I discovered it. The cappuccino is excellent. The honey blossom latte is the perfect afternoon pick me up (they do half caf)! The sesame chai is real chai; the spices and the sesame oat marry so well together. Try getting it w an espresso shot! And the current EDITION was genuinely an out of distribution coffee experience for me. It tasted like oolong. I can’t describe it in words, you need to go in person to try it. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and fun. The space gets a ton of light, with an open “kitchen” and high ceilings. And they have taste. Drinks are served with sparkling water as a palate cleanser and pour overs can be flash chilled. Say hello to Kevin and Justin for me if you drop by!

This place just opened in downtown Austin and is a really great spot. Very unique in the sense a little more dine in with glassware and excellent service. Prices are the same as other coffee shops, but you feel like it’s a little more worth the price. Pastries are great and coffee is delicious.

Located in downtown Austin on the corner of Guadalupe and 6th, Black Fox is a coffee shop from New York City with its first outpost in Austin. It is a specialty coffee shop with coffee beans from around the world and offers beans by the bag. Food wise they offer pastries from Swedish Hill Bakery which is down the street from their shop. Coffee wise they offer pour overs where it seems that possibly each month they feature different beans. Line wise because it has been only open two days. There was a line out the door when we came at 10 in the morning. But the line went fairly fast and even with about 20 people in line we were by the front within 15 minutes. The baristas were nice and efficient - don’t worry, even with the fancy outfits they were all down. Drink wise, my husband, who is a coffee snob, got a pour over and an espresso and the espresso was served with sparkling water to cleanse the pallet. Me, as a non-coffee drinker, I got the sesame chai which I enjoyed quite greatly because it was not too sweet and had a very nice chai flavor with spices and was not overwhelming in sweetness. The space for seating is small - about 14 seats inside and a couple of tables outside. There wasn’t any free wifi when I looked - unsure if I would recommend for studying currently due to no wifi and minimal seating. Parking wise no validated parking, so would have to pay for parking garage or street parking. If you go on Sundays parking is free downtown if you can find a spot in the street.

New favorite coffee shop in Austin! Coffee is obviously outstanding. Dope environment right down town. Amazing selection of specialty coffees from roasters I’ve never even heard of. 10/10 recommend. Thank you New York for sending your best!

Just love it here! Limited sitting space inside and outside; the turnaround cycle can be pretty quick though - a couple tables might free up while you’re waiting for your order. They were almost out of pastries around 1pm on Sunday. It’s a good sign - you gotta go early. I ordered a regular hot latte. It was a tiny bit less thick than expected, but I loved the taste of the beans. So, this is your modern coffee shop vibe. Highly recommend! For laptop folks, I didn’t see many outlets. So, your battery has a good life, you’ll be able to sit and work. The music and vibe are chill and lo-wi at some point. Welcome to Austin, Black Fox Coffee!
