Claudia Thome a month agoMy boyfriend and I visited Golden Roastery for the first time and were both blown away by the variety of authentic options. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and welcomed. The staff offered us delicious samples of nuts and baklava, which made the experience even more memorable. Their pistachio latte is absolutely amazing, and everyone working there was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere was clean, inviting, and genuinely welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Uval Kaham 6 months ago5 stars all around! Spoke with the owner and he explained how this is a true family business and they work so hard to keep it up! They roast all their coffee, nuts, and even bake their baklava fresh daily! The atmosphere is incredible and if you haven’t tried it yet please do yourself a favor try it! THE KUNAFA IS THE BEST!
Martha Moreno 2 months agoThis was my first visit here after usually going to their competitor (Royal Roastery) down the block, and I had been wanting to try it for a while because I followed this store on IG. We ordered a small strawberry gelato, a Dubai chocolate crepe, a Dubai chocolate bar, and two orders of kanafa. I didn’t try the strawberry gelato since I’m allergic, but both of my parents said it was really good. The service was also good, we ordered to go, and everything came out pretty quickly. The kanafa was ready fast, and while we did wait a little for the Dubai chocolate crepe, it came out hot, so no complaints there. The kanafa itself was good and pretty comparable to their competitor. I appreciated that they put the syrup on the side, but my mom did wish it was crispier, especially since we asked for the crispy version. The Dubai chocolate items, though, were disappointing. The crepe was just okay, and the chocolate itself was way too overpowering for all of us.... very heavy on what tasted like Nutella and pistachio cream. The biggest letdown by far was the Dubai chocolate bar. I went last night and I still have most of it because it was that bad. The chocolate coating was extremely thick—so thick that I literally needed a knife just to break through it. Once I did, the inside was even more disappointing. Instead of the usual toasted, crispy kanafa mixed with pistachio cream, it tasted like raw filo dough with pistachio cream. The texture and flavor were both off, and the chocolate itself didn’t taste like good quality either Overall, it was an okay experience, but for about $60 total (with the bar alone being $10), it felt overpriced for what we got.
Zulfiya H. 4 months agoI had a great experience at Golden Roastery! All the sweets were absolutely delicious — you can really taste the quality. They have real Dubai chocolate, which was such a treat, and the ice cream was amazing as well. Everything we tried was fresh and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. The only downsides for me were the cleanliness of the building and the location. If they were located in Sugar Land or Richmond, I would definitely visit more often. Unfortunately, because of the current location, I most likely won’t be returning regularly. Overall, the desserts themselves are truly great — just hoping to see improvements in the future! 🍫🍰🍦
