There’s a funny backstory to how we ended up at this coffee shop. I was in Mesa for a birthday party and googled best coffee shops, I had originally selected a different coffee shop and my sister and I had walked out after it was just immediately a horrible experience. Bak and Jo was closer to the party and I chose that as our next destination. The shop is surrounded by antique shops which is perfect for my sister and I. This shop was clean, well organized and smelled like a coffee shop should. The employees were kind and helped us choose our drinks. I got the wife’s latte and it ended up being similar to a drink I would make myself when I was a barista myself. The staff mentioned the croissants were fresh out of the oven so we chose one of those as well. Absolutely delicious! After walking around the antique shops we decided to go back for the cute bento cakes they had on display for the birthday party we were going to. Overall 10/10 experience and I highly recommend this coffee shop!

Friendly and attentive service, locally owned place that aims to please and has lots of options. Kid friendly too, my daughter’s and I decorated ornaments, had a bite to eat and they played some video games. Great after school spot. My favorite part is that they offer a gluten free option for burritos, a GF tortilla wrap & it’s delicious. My favorite filling for the bahn mi is the pork belly, but all options I’ve tried are good. Love the Vietnamese coffee with a splash of cream. There’s also many gluten free and vegan options in the bakery case from Sweet Simon. Love visiting regularly!

Tried Bak & Jo Bakery and wow — absolutely amazing. My husband had the breakfast burrito and I tried their newest gluten-free breakfast burrito option, and both were fantastic. You can tell they put a lot of care into both flavor and quality. As someone who appreciates good gluten-free options, this was such a great find. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Fabulous food, drinks, and a wonderful low key place to hang out and play games. We got a cold brew, a Thai tea, a cortado, three bahn mi sandwiches, two pastries, and several macarons. The prices are wonderful and everything was incredible. The ingredients are top notch. Customer service was lovely. Atmosphere really pulls you into a community feel. We will be back to try more!

What a wonderful coffee shop. I really enjoyed having a nice conversation with the barista she was so kind and helpful. I really enjoyed how smooth and delicious the coffee was also the vegan blueberry muffin and the breakfast burrito was great. I will definitely be back soon.
