The story of how this Costa Rican inspired brick & mortar coffee shop came to be is as amazing as the Coffee shop itself. For several years Lobo & Angela worked separate jobs and sold coffee off a cart building a following. They use 100% imported beans from Costa Rica. Lobo’s dad lives there & works closely with local growers. After the cart work they moved into a tiny strip mall and served off their coffee cart inside. They also started a coffee truck. After two years of building an even stronger presence and larger customer base, they expanded into the next space to double their footprint. They also increased their Handmade artworks from Costa Rican artists. They serve up Costa Rican inspired breakfasts & have a large coffee themed drink menu. They are an incredible hard working couple that consistently serve up flavorful coffees & beautiful handmade art. It’s a 7-2 popular spot for lots of regulars & local businesses.

We got the lobo-which was fire and the mocha specialty drinks. Drinks were perfect, but the star of the show today was the rpg bagel. We inhaled it. I would give this place a 5 star if it had some music playing in the background. Although it was quite and pleasant-some background music would def take the atmosphere up a notch. Aside from that minor detail, the food, staff and over all feel of this place was best in class.

My family loves hanging out here. We play games and drink delicious Costa Rican coffee. I always get the Nitro Cold Brew with brown sugar cream. It slaps me awake and gets me ready to play a little gin. I love the music and the friendly atmosphere here. No rush to leave, the owners are super friendly and it feels so welcoming. The love is authentic and so is the coffee.

The east valley was seriously lacking in coffee shops until Pura Vida popped up. They have a solid cold brew and a solid espresso shot. The bagels are the best around. No longer do you have to grab a crappy coffee at a diner, or support the big guy (Starbucks) They offer a small menu of breakfast items, a few pastries, coffee, specialty drinks and teas. They also have a lot of fun Costa Rica merch, beans and coffee brewing supplies.

Nice little family owned coffee shop. We enjoyed our iced and hot coffee drinks. My wife had the Lobo and I had the Cortado. We went on a Friday and enjoyed the Empanadas. The atmosphere is very chill, my kind of place!
