Such a cute cafe. Came from Prescott and the lady working was so nice. Sadly I forgot her name but she’s traveled and has her own touch to the coffee that makes it sooo good I don’t know how to explain without you trying her coffee!! And it’s such a cute art gallery. It’s way bigger then you’d think inside

Maleta cafe is a breath of fresh air amid cut and paste coffee chains scattered throughout downtown Phoenix. Located inside the Arizona Latino Arts & Culture Center, Maleta is a vibrant welcoming space inside an art gallery. There is ample seating if you want to stay awhile and a number of coffee, tea, and desserts worth trying. Maria, the cafe owner, is warm and has a wealth of knowledge about Phoenix food + culture she’ll share with you if you need recommendations. The concept of the cafe is travel, with food and beverages inspired by places Maria has visited. I tried both the Tainan and Perth seasonal drinks, which were excellent! Will be returning to try the full menu.

A very enjoyable coffee experience. Extremely good, travel inspired, coffee - made with homemade syrups - in a Latino Cultural Center/ Art Gallery. Great conversation. Why stand in line at a chain store for boring coffee when you can support a local entrepreneur serving excellent brews.

Finally, a specialty coffee shop in this area of downtown! Great coffee beans from Pair Cup Works, bringing out fruity and chocolate notes. The classics are solid and the special lattes are so fun/creative. Don’t get me started on the cookies, I daydream about the buttered toast strawberry jam cookie like every other day. Overall, great experience, I’ll be coming back for sure!

Best spot hands down! The menu is very unique and carefully curated. Stop by for some amazing coffee and pastries.
