Videri Chocolate Factory and Black & White Coffee Roasters in Raleigh, NC, provide a mixed experience for visitors looking for coffee and sweets. The physical space itself is pleasant, boasting a great atmosphere and an outdoor seating area enhanced by bamboo forest scenery. The chocolate soda is a standout menu item, offering a refreshing flavor that fits the environment well. However, the level of service depends heavily on which counter you visit. The hospitality at the Videri Chocolate Factory side is noticeably better, with staff members who are polite, helpful, and attentive to customers. In contrast, the customer service on the Black & White Coffee Roasters side falls flat. The employees there interact in a highly automated, robotic manner, making the ordering process feel completely transactional. This subpar service lacks any warmth or genuine engagement, dragging down the overall experience. Ultimately, the establishment functions as an acceptable spot to grab a treat, but the inconsistent hospitality holds it back. While the chocolate side and the outdoor seating are solid, the robotic nature of the coffee service prevents the venue from being truly great. I don’t know how I haven’t rated this place yet even though I’ve been here many many many times. Those who don’t know B&W was started by two world barista champions. The baristas here are great at their game - today I got a latte with perfect microfoam and a lovely flavor. Their original beans are what they used. They also got a fancy $9000 pour over machine that makes fantastic pour overs. Since they are co-located by the chocolatier - they got amazing chocolate drinks. The space inside is small so not much room to sit in but the outside area has much more room - great to be outside on a sunny day. They have nice outdoor vibes.

This is such a fun place to visit! Rhe self-guided tour was cool. Didn't get to try the coffee, but the chocolate and soft serve were both great. There's also a little patio area where you can escape some of the noise if it's busy.

My husband and I enjoyed coffee and sipping chocolate this morning. I had their pour over which is individually brewed coffee. You have a choice of beans based on what they have available. The restroom requires a code that you can get from staff. The vibe is industrial. This is the same location as Videri chocolate. Parking is on the street and is free around the building.
