I have so many positive things to say about Madis Coffee Roasters; it is more than just a coffee shop—it provides an experience worth returning for. Located in The Curtis Center on Walnut Street in Philadelphia, this coffee house is set in a Beaux-Arts building completed in 1910, featuring grand aesthetics with classical elements like columns and intricate detailing. Additionally, an American renaissance style, Tiffany, mural named "Winged Victories," created by Maxfield Parrish in 1912, greets you in the grande foyer. My husband and I discovered this charming place while exploring the Old City neighborhood, we were impressed by its elegance, attention to detail, and inviting atmosphere. The selection of pastries, coffee, and treats were outstanding; we enjoyed a vegan banana bread, a pasticcio muffin, and a Basque cheesecake... all rated a 10 out of 10. We also enjoyed a cappuccino, and a drip coffee, all of which were exquisite. Everything was so delightful that I decided to take a coffee to go, and the friendly staff were extremely helpful in guiding us to the ideal pastry trio. Do yourself a favor and stop by Madis Coffee Roaster, but leave plenty of time to soak in the history, beauty, and tastes.

Tasty specialty coffee place, must visit while touring the Independence Hall and the park around. Various choices of pastries. The spinach pie was amazing, well-balanced feta cheese, spinach and pie, not sour which I taste in most of feta pies. Spacious with good vibes.

I love this place, mostly for its vibe. The coffee is good, no complaints, but the food is below average. I haven’t had a single food item that was good, including the basic stuff like croissants.

Huge, spacious rooms that manage to stay quiet even while there are a lot of patrons enjoying their beautiful lunches, interesting pastries, and smooth coffees. The staff is nice and friendly. The view from the porch and huge windows make you feel like you should be wearing a bonnet. Inside this building is a mural made from Tiffany glass that you should take the time to see. What s treat it is to be here, warm and comfortable on a cold day.

Currently my favorite coffee place, the coffee is really good and the blueberry bliss latte is one of the best tasting coffees that I have ever tasted! The food is really good too, the atmosphere is also really cozy!
