Slow Day Coffee is a gem for anyone into specialty coffee. The selection of beans is outstanding, with plenty of high-end options for pour-over, including geshas, which is rare to see done this well. Their matcha latte is easily one of the best in Seattle — I loved that they offer a choice between two ceremonial-grade matchas, which really shows attention to detail. Rachel and Kevin were excellent hosts — welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Everything felt thoughtfully executed.

This is the place coffee snobs go, and I say that with the utmost excitement and passion. Seattle has sparingly few shops like this: focused on craft and not on high throughput. This shop strongly reminds me of the plethora of small specialty roaster cafes in Tokyo (but Slow Day is not a roaster, to be clear). This week they had an Olympia (Costa Rican?) Natural and a Washed Burundi. My cortado was bright and acidic and fruity. I think the oat milk could have been a little more silky (felt like a milk brand issue) but it did not diminish my enjoyment at all. Anyways, please take your coffee snob friends here to impress them. Seattle needs more small, craft focused shops like Slow Day. Thank you Kevin for the great conversation!

Excellent coffee & sleek aesthetic. We ran into the own, who also happens to be a Jesus fan — so it was an immediate yes for us! Quick, kind, and delicious.

This is a really great place to come if you’re looking to unwind, pass some time, catch up with friends, or even get some work done in a relaxed setting. There’s plenty of seating available, which makes it easy to settle in without feeling cramped, and the overall atmosphere is calm, cozy, and fairly quiet—perfect for focusing or just enjoying the moment. The drinks are well crafted and clearly made with care.I’d definitely come back again and am looking forward to trying some of the food next time.

If you are a hardcore specialty coffee drinker, then you need to check this place out. They have a large variety of beans for pour over/espresso based drinks. Tried an Ethiopian espresso that was smooth, fruity and sweet! The pour over was amazing as well!
